Eve Eesmaa (Estonia)

In November and December, Eve Eesmaa, a printmaker and lecturer in the Tartu Children’s Art School and Tartu Art College will work in the studio of the Printing Museum. The sabbatical from her lectures and ongoing residency in the museum will allow Eve to concentrate on her own creative work, to revisit older prints and create new ones in various intaglio techniques. The aim of the residency is to prepare for an exhibition that coincides with her 50th birthday in the summer of 2013. Until then you can find samples of Eve’s work on the webpage of the Association of Estonian Printmakers [http://estograph.ee/eve-eesmaa/]

Eve chose the Printing Museum because it has the best equipment and also the most flexible working conditions. To cover the studio costs, a scholarship was granted by the Tartu Cultural Endowment.
